Born in Memphis, Tennessee Brooklyn Crismaru is a creative young singer with a unique perspective and prominent dedication to the exploration of various musical styles. Inspired by the profound impact that speech has had in her life; singing demonstrates her passion for communication.
Brooklyn’s interest in language started at a young age after her grandparents taught her Romanian. In her free time she enjoys studying Romanian art songs; a pursuit which broadens her musical perspective and also pays tribute to her family heritage. Her lifelong fascination with foreign language deepens her understanding of how language shapes the way we express and experience music, bringing a unique depth to her performances.
In 2023 she earned the position of staff singer at Riverside Presbyterian church in Jacksonville, Florida. This opportunity allowed her to hone her skills as both a soloist and ensemble performer. Brooklyn also performs with various musical groups at the Peabody Institute, including Camerata, The Lorelei Ensemble, and the Peabody Hopkins Conservatory Choir, where she continues to push the boundaries of her artistry.
As a soprano, Brooklyn has performed in many spaces including stages, live streams, churches and other dynamic environments. She has brought her talents to various esteemed stages like TED talks and special events in Disney’s parks. Her passion for performance has carried over into her education where she is pursuing a bachelors in music performance at the Peabody Institute, under the direction of Elizabeth Futral.

Riverside Presbyterian Church

In 2023 Brooklyn started a partnership with Riverside Presbyterian Church in Jacksonville, Florida.This relationship has inspired her to seek more opportunities in religious spaces.

TEDx Jacksonville

In 2019 Brooklyn and the Douglas Anderson Silhouettes were invited to perform for a TEDx Jacksonville event. This invaluable experience grew her knowledge and respect for performing in a professional space.
